Let him eat cake.

I talk a lot through my posts, explain the shoot or the experience. I will just say that this was a year in the making and a pure joy to shoot.

Baby Vincenzo – 10 weeks
Posted on June 28, 2010
My very dear friend Pam (who also happens to be the awesome photographer Pamela Nicole) asked me to come by and capture her with her son. A problem many photographer parents…and Mom’s in general have is that they are never IN the picture with their babies. I know that most days that is the case for me. So while I am no Pam, I was very happy to give her a break from photographer Pam and let her be New Mom Pam. Here are some shots from their playtime today.

Headshot sessions!
Posted on June 28, 2010
Well it’s hot. Two things that don’t change, my photography is 90% shot outside and actors come to me for my outdoor work. But it’s HOT! Friday I worked with the beautiful SIM Agency actor, Meg Sprink. She just relocated from San Diego to come here and work on getting her equity card. (It’s an actor thing). Anyhow she left San Diego for this heat…on purpose. She is a stunning girl and a lot of fun to work with. I will be doing a headshot mini-session in a few weeks for those that need to update theirs. Watch the blog for dates.
I love this pose. She’s crouching down. I can only get young people with good knees in this position. Or else they don’t get back up.
This was a lucky shot because we were fighting the wind. She would fix fly aways and I would fire off 10 frames before it flew all over again!
Such a great smile!
One of my last 5 frames..great ones always come out of the last few frames.
Shooting My Dad – Safford, Az
Posted on June 23, 2010
So my Dad needs a shot for his website. He’s a hair stylist in Safford, AZ. After 30 plus years in hair he took a break for sometime and is back. He needed a few shots and so tonight we stole 20 minutes to nab a few. He’s so cute. So here is a few shots of my Pops. If you are in the Safford area and need your hairs cut, he’s your man.

Phoenix Bride and Groom Magazine, more published pages! – Bridal Fashion Photographer
Posted on June 19, 2010
I have been waiting few months for this magazine to hit the stands. It was hard to find because they actually don’t start selling it until July 1. I got 4 pages from two separate shoots. One of which I showed on the blog already not knowing that it was getting published! So you already had a sneak peak of two of the images. The other two are from a shoot with some Amsale gowns. I will post more from that fabulous shoot later (one was even worn in a movie!). In the meantime, here are the four pages I recently had published in Phoenix Bride and Groom Magazine. Thank you Chelsea, Justine, Brita and Stephanie for being elegant models (even at midnight….). Sim Agency for loaning me these beautiful girls and Destiny’s bride and Linda Wagner for always showing me love and allowing me to capture your beautiful gowns.

This is Chelsea in an Amsale Gown. Location: private residence

I knew the day I saw this tub I was going to put a big white dress in it. Chelsea’s skin tone was perfect for this look in another Amsale gown. Location: private residence

Justine in her first publication! This is the Twilight gown from Monique Luhllier Fall 2010 Location: Destiny’s Bride
Justine, Brita, Stephanie and of course Chelsea. It was past midnight and they were all still amazing. Monique Lhullier gowns. Location: Destiny’s Bride
Island Wedding- W Resort, Vieques PR
Posted on June 12, 2010
I know…soooo long since my last post. I have some backed up weddings to share with you. Some really great stuff! This last week Brendan and I traveled to Vieques, PR to shoot the inagural wedding at the W Resort. It had been raining for 10 days so we had grey skies. That was the only thing that was less than ideal. The property was beautiful! Not a detail was missed, but what else would you expect from a W property.
To condense all the images that I have I put together a little blog board for you but I had to include some of the property photos and amazing couple shots around the property.

The best way to end a night is with fireworks. What a great surprise for all the guests.
Family Mini Session – Gilbert Family Photographer
Posted on April 21, 2010
I know I am rocking on my blog posts…(meaning I am actually doing them, pat self on back..) . I had a family session recently with one of my bestest friends. She has a little baby named Jude and I have been capturing his whole first year. It’s been pretty fun to tell you the truth. I managed to convince them to finally do a family photo. I am pretty sure this was a first. Anyhow we shot a little mini session at the park near their house. This kid is a ham. I just love these, they make me smile. Amy, Jim and Jude.

Another adorable senior- Florence Senior Photographer
Posted on April 20, 2010
Well I did say that I had a lot of seniors this year. Here is another awesome senior session. This is Cameron. I had to travel an hour to get to her but totally worth it. The location was amazing and she was super fun. I loved working with her. Sh is a country girl at heart and so this was such a perfect spot for her. (She picked it, I was just thrilled to get to shoot there!) She brought her prom dress, so I did the logical thing, I stuck her in the field of weeds. Awesome right? Here are some of my faves from that day…

It’s Senior Season! – Phoenix Senior Photographer
Posted on April 11, 2010
I am very blessed with some awesome seniors this year so far! Soooo many great kids, so many fun ideas. Nothing like when I was a senior. This is Kylie and she is a beautiful red head. She’s the kind of girl that “works” her freckles. She brought the B-E-S-T wardrobe and we drove around (her Mom drove us all over town) to full fill all of my crazy location ideas. She wanted urban and country all while wearing as much “bling” (as her Mom called it) as possible. What a great and fun session.
We shot this one downtown. It was blazing bright outside but she was a trooper. I kept paying “try not to squint!”
I said “Kylie…lay in the weeds for me” She said “okay!” I tried some shots from straight above but the ones from the side here were my favorite.
Pretty, pretty, pretty girl.
She brought the sunflowers, I brought the fence.
People always comment my work is “fresh” I guess this is well…that.
This has to be one of my favorite shots of the day. Just Kylie being beautiful Kylie.
I took a ton of detail shots of her. She had the best shoes! Like these royal blue beauties.
Another detail shot that worked out better than I hoped. I was focusing on the freckles in this one.
Monique Lhuillier 2010 fall gowns – Arizona Bridal fashion Photographer
Posted on April 7, 2010
I know…I have been so bad about posting. I have a few good reasons.
1. A few of my best shoots are either getting published or being considered for it. So I can not share them until they are out. But that’s all great news!
2. I am lucky to get sleep in lately.
3. I’m PREGNANT! Yes that hes been a little damper on productivity but I am feeling much better and more like myself.
Okay so to the big reveal. I am so blessed in that I get to do some amazing things with my job. Recently Linda from Destiny’s Bride called and asked if I wanted to shoot the amazing (and fresh off the runway) Monique Lhuillier gowns. The thing was they had to stay in the store. I don’t think any of them had seen the light of day. From runway to trunk-show. It posed a little challange of how to get a beautiful shoot, indoors at night. As you know my style is natural light. Hey, I am always up for a challenge and have been working on my lighting work. I wanted something a little more “moody” that really let the gowns be the focus. I called in some support from my good friend/photographer Cindy Price of Lily P Studios and some of my most favorite models. The generosity that is shown to me from the models down to the stylist is very humbling. Having models and stylists out until all hours of the night just to capture some images with me is the best gift.
Thank you to SIM Agency (models), Ruca (hair) , Linda (makeup-styling), Destiny’s Bride, Chelsea, Justine, Brita, Stephanie, Cindy (best assistant, brainstormer, counselor and friend ever)….you all bless my life and work.
Let’s start with an outtake of the set up. So many gowns…so little space! Yes that’s Linda on touch up and it’s about 9PM at this point. Cindy is hiding behind the light.

Justine wearing Monique Lhuillier “Twilight”
You will need to forgo the Italian honeymoon, this gown runs in the $17,000 range. But it sure is pretty!
Brita (her first post baby appearance and she looks stunning!)
Brita is wearing Monique Lhuillier Schiaparelli. I am in love with the elegance of this dress.
I think the back is my favorite part!
Stephanie is wearing Monique Lhuillier Brilliance. The bodice is breathtaking.

Here is Chelsey in a gown from the Fall 2009 collection. This is Monique Lhuillier Lourdes and it looked so amazing on her. This dress is so feminine and elegant.
and for the finale, once more all the beautiful models!
Did I mention that I love my job?
