Falling in love in Vegas
Posted on December 8, 2010
I often ask couples how they met. It helps me to understand them. I also ask how long they have been together. Couples that have lived together for sometime laugh when you get their faces really close, I think it’s from being in love with your best friend. Best friends make you laugh. New couples can just stare. These two met in Vegas “of all places” as Taylor says. She moved from Seattle to Arizona to be with him. Taylor and Sharee are the funnest couple. I really enjoyed working with them and can’t wait to see where they decide to get married! I hear rumors of Hawaii. (I can hear the ukulele now…) Can you imagine these two and a beach wedding? The last photo was a total experiment, something I always wanted to try. The jury is still out on whether I dig it or not but I do love the colors of the desert that day. Gotta love a girl that will let you drag her through the desert in heels.

It’s Senior Season! – Phoenix Senior Photographer
Posted on April 11, 2010
I am very blessed with some awesome seniors this year so far! Soooo many great kids, so many fun ideas. Nothing like when I was a senior. This is Kylie and she is a beautiful red head. She’s the kind of girl that “works” her freckles. She brought the B-E-S-T wardrobe and we drove around (her Mom drove us all over town) to full fill all of my crazy location ideas. She wanted urban and country all while wearing as much “bling” (as her Mom called it) as possible. What a great and fun session.
We shot this one downtown. It was blazing bright outside but she was a trooper. I kept paying “try not to squint!”
I said “Kylie…lay in the weeds for me” She said “okay!” I tried some shots from straight above but the ones from the side here were my favorite.
Pretty, pretty, pretty girl.
She brought the sunflowers, I brought the fence.
People always comment my work is “fresh” I guess this is well…that.
This has to be one of my favorite shots of the day. Just Kylie being beautiful Kylie.
I took a ton of detail shots of her. She had the best shoes! Like these royal blue beauties.
Another detail shot that worked out better than I hoped. I was focusing on the freckles in this one.

Tutu’s a plenty – Arizona Dance Photographer
Posted on December 16, 2009
Okay so have you had enough Bride’s, Babies and Models yet? Well maybe what you need is some tutu’s. Some very hard working dancers over at the Maricopa Dance Academy earned a treat for all of their dance dedication. I came down and had a shoot with some of the girls. It was a lot of fun and lets me combine two things that I love, dance and photography. My good friend Cindy Price of Lilly P Studio was on hand to help and shoot. (I love hangin with Cindy…)
I love dance shots. They make me do a little happy dance. Well not so much right now because it’s 11:01 and I have been on the computer for 15 hours straight now. But when I first saw them, there was most definitely a happy dance.
These are Jasmine’s feet. She loves to break the box. She is so hard on her shoes I am pretty sure her Mom had to take a second mortgage to keep her in new ones.
Remember when the best thing in the world is the day they handed out costumes?
She’s so tiny. I just want to pick her up and put her in my pocket.
I love ballet costumes. I don’t suppose I could get away with just wearing one around the house and not be noticed?
Who DOESN’T love a good tassel skirt?
I may have posted this on another day. That’s okay…we’ll give Jasmine some more love.
Aaaaddddooorrraaaabbbbbble.
Who wears a white dress only to lay on the floor. Yeah, me.
